SURF'S UP! Highland Elementary's Float theme for Ridgeland High Homecoming is Beach Boys!
We are looking for a trailer to use for the float and a pick up truck to pull the trailer.
Sally Foster Fundraising Kick Off Friday Aug 15th! Look for catalogs coming home this Friday. Sale ends Sept. 5th. Items will be delivered Oct. 10. Volunteers are needed on Oct. 10. Please contact Jan Richert arichert@bellsouth.net or 601 898-3948 to volunteer.
50% of all sales comes back to our school to support projects, such as our outdoor classroom, playground equiptment, speakers and much more.

Highland Elementary is a Project Fit America School! More information is on the way about this fitness program for the students. Coach Daniel's efforts have brought in $54,000 in grant money from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of MS to support Project Fit America program and new equipment (constructed in center island in front of the school). These grants also paid for a 1/4 mile walking trail in that area. Thanks to Coach Meador, Dr. Stone and everyone who helped make this program a reality.
Extra 2007-2008 Yearbooks are available for $25.
Our "Art Assembly" Artwork is displayed in the foyer of the school. Last year, the children saw the artist, Clyde Beamon, create this work during a PTO sponsored assembly. Stop by and see the beautiful artwork.
